True, but they're also utility knives. I wear mine in my fishing vest and
use it all the time. Granted, I deliberately chose one of the simpler
designs, but its a real treat when folks look at it and say 'whoa, where did
you get THAT?' :-)
A utility knife is something that by definition is useful. No doubt
those knives could be useful, but you'd have to be nuts to actually use
them. It would be like hanging an original van Gogh in a Holiday Inn
motel room.
A utility knife, to me, is a knife that I can buy somewhere like REI or
Bass Pro or Cabelas. It's a good knife with a sharp and durable blade.
It may be fairly expensive, like around $60. If I lose it, no big deal.
I buy another one.
Those knives aren't like that. If I lost a custom-made knife (or dagger
or sword or tomahawk) by Roger Bergh I'd be devastated. Utility knives,
my ass. They sure are gorgeous, though.
