Right-Click on the newsgroup that you want to clear-out, select
"properties". The box that opens will have a file named "Local Files."
Click on it. There you will find several options--four to be exact--choose
"delete," if you want to rid yourself of all the threads and messages in
that newsgroup. I usually click on "Compact" after I have deleted. Don't
worry, you will receive new and old threads as they arrive.

Now go to bed and wake up fresh for class in the morn!
