Default Penns TR

Fished Penns on Thursday about 2 hours and Friday about 6 hours. Water
temp was 55. On Thursday we fished just above the tunnel bridge and on
Friday we parked at the Engleby "lot" and went up stream.

On Thursday we made the needed stop at the Feathered Hook. Got a few
flies, some advice, and were off. We parked at the bridge and starting
putting our gear on and I realized that my boots were back in Maryland.
I made a quick call to Jonas as it was 4:45 and I was hopping that he
would stay open until I got there. The nice guy that he is, he lent me
a pair (actually 2, in case one was the wrong size) and I was back down
at the tunnel by 5:05. Rain came down a little and for about 15
minutes the wind picked up and it was coming sideways. I managed a few
fish on a size 16 green caddis pupa. The rain only helped to eliminate
an otherwise low and clear water flow.

Friday at Engleby the skies were very clear, too clear. I did manage a
few fish- the caddis pupa again and Isonychia , and one on top with a
Slate Drake. The fish actually starting rising with some regularity
about 2 PM. The did that for about 20 minutes then stopped. As we put
away our gear at the parking lot, I did one more check of the water.
Fish were rising again with some regularity. That was about 3:30.

Anyway, had a good time. Got to see PSU notch a victory and caught
some fish.
