Fairly sure he is on the N.F. of the Clearwater..

I just got back from the N.F. Clearwater and Kelly Creek. I didn't fish
much, but when I did it was good to very good. The best cutthroat fishing
right now is on the Clearwater, fishing below tributaries with thousands
of spawning kokanee. Kelly Creek is a little too skinny for my taste right
now. It's gorgeous country.

I've done a hell of a lot of fishing this year, and, especially after the
Alaska trip, I'm kind of fished out. After catching a few cutts I was
content to go back to the camper for some relaxation and companionship.
