Did I say a freakin thing about your experience? Nope. I told mine and
what
was the cause of some of my problems. Take it or leave it.

I aint Al, so don't answer me like I was.
Nope. Never had a problem when mine were left on the deck all day, but
they
were used and wet. Direct sun thru a window for days and sometimes a week
did though.
Sure, and if that was the cause of all the rest of our problems with the
Vanish don't you think we would have had problems with all the rest of out
lines too?
P.S. My rods get stored below deck or in the storage building where I keep
my boat. The only time they see daylight is when I'm fishing.
Seaguar doesn't have a problem for me. Suffix doesn't have a problem for
me. P-Line Flouroclear will delaminate after a couple days of continuous
fishing, but otherwise has no unexpected problems. P-Line pure flouro seems
to work as expected. Berkley Big Game seems to work fine except its stiffer
than Suffix. Maxima mono and flouro carbon seem to perform within spec for
their line size. Most of the braids seem hold up ok.
Just Vanish, Super Mono XX, and Iron Silk so far have gone on my not again
list with Vanish being the worst.
Heck, I had less random break offs with the cheap spools of mono I woud buy
from K-Mart when I was a kid. Now those rods got left everywhere back then,
and the line still worked ok. Sometimes without being changed except once a
year.
I really don't think UV or heat is the cause the bad experience I had with
Vanish.
