With flyfishing you think of the line size you use, less than the size of
the fish. I would not go any lighter than a 4 wt. Sometimes even with
smaller fish you use bigger flies. A 5 wt would be even more versatile than
a 4 wt if you'll be using it more, but not necessarily if you just fish in
the Smokies. I'd probably get an easy to cast 4 wt.
