Default Does anyone use Berkley Vanish flouro?

Did I say a freakin thing about your experience? Nope. I told mine and
what
was the cause of some of my problems. Take it or leave it.

I love newsgroups with an attitude and the will to back it up. Haven't
had this much fun since I suscribed to alt.food.wine.

My experience with Vanish, as I said before, is not that great. I have
lost more lures and fish on Vanish than any other line. I use braid quite
a bit and love it. I use mono and like it. I also fly cast for bass,
bluegills and crappie. I have never had a breakage on Orvis 3X tippet.
Yet, my Vanish occasionally breaks. Go figure. I am careful to store my
rods/reels out of the sun per manufacturers advice.

I will take the advice of the group and try another fluoro next season
because I do like the soft hookups it seems to give.

I've use Seaguar CarbonPro, P-Line 100% Flouro, and Maxima 100% Flouro.

The lighter Seguar 10lb or less seems to barely meet its line weight class,
but it is very consistant. No surprises. The 12lb fight like a much
heavier line. Hammer flips with the 15 a lot. I've only used the P-Line in
12lb and it was fine. I have used Maxima in 8 lb for dropshotting because
the sales rep initially gave me a spool to try, and it performed very well
for an 8lb line. In fact I just bought a couple more spools of the 8lb
Maxima for my finnesse rods.
