Default More than Half Way Now...

"Its ashamed that kids everywhere have to watch suck a smartass with a
cocky attitude and pattern them selves after him."

I've never seen it in stone where kids automatically see something and
become that. I think as long as a parent is there to guide them and
help them through their decision making, seeing someone who reacts to
situations as Ike does is actually beneficial to their upbringing.
I love Ike, the fisherman, I think he is a great competitor, and a lot
of fire, sometimes his emotions get the best of him, and he probably
acts before he thinks, that is real life, that is how some people are.
Like I said, I like his fishing abilities, that says nothing to his
abilities to teach my child right from wrong, which is not his job, it
is mine, and my responsibility. If my children decide to grow up to be
cocky and hated by everyone for that reason then that is a direct
reflection on me, not Mike Iaconelli, I wouldn't hide behind excuses for
their behavior, and I sure wouldn't blame some "character" on TV.

Between the 'natural' commercials and his childish behavior during the
Bassmasters, I lost all interest in him. Not to metion throwing dead
fish back to avoid a penalty. No class.

From my understanding IKE has an incredibly rich family backing him.
He was touted as one of the top ten most hated sports figures of 2005.
I agree with js about the behavior of the classic. id hate to know that I
worked all year and got thrown out of the sports super bowl. If the
competition and sport makes you act that way, and I know it doesn't, he
needs to go to work at Cabela's or something selling boats. Look at what
happened to Jay Yelas on Lay Lake in the 2002 classic...A pontoon went right
between him and the bank while he was fishing!!
He didn't jump up and down, cuss, or kick parts off of the boat.He went on
fishing and the next cast caught a six pounder! I'm afraid IKE will come
back stronger than ever. Regardless of my thoughts on IKE he can fish and
compete. The bottom line is that he's just good PR for the bassmasters. Its
ashamed that kids everywhere have to watch suck a smartass with a cocky
attitude and pattern them selves after him..
I wish Ray Scott would come and take over the Bassmasters again but I doubt
we will ever see such class as his ever again running that orginazation
again.
