I say crop-ee, you say crap-ee, let's call the whole thing sac-au-lait
You are right on the catfish as well....A good filet of "BlueCat" is awesome
after you bleed him. I've never had an opportunity to fish there but one day
I hope to.
You ever run any lines or jugs?
Blue cat are scavengers and eat dead things off the bottom. They are
good eating but tend to be better under 4 #'s. Flatheads aka Tabby
cat, spotted cat, eat live prey and seem to be the same taste no matter
the size. I have run lines and chased jugs, but they don't allow them
on our lake. You would use them primarily for blue cat. We catch more
flatheads on rods and reels below the damn of the Ross Barnett Resivoir
here using bream. The bigger bream the bigger flathead.
Hey, BTW, I went to a bait shop we have in Birmingham yesterday afternoon
and had a chance to see the Paca- Craw. The shop that I went to said they
sell about 600 bags a week!!! I know that's hard to believe but see the
link;
I tell you, it is a really hot bait. I haven't seen the lime green,
but the you can't fine the ALABAMA CRAW here. It is a natural crawfish
color.
I didn't go out yesterday either. A little nippley.
