Ive always heard it had to be round in order for the shad to stay alive
because they have to swim in a circle...Is this true?
I use a 55 gallon plastic sugar barrel and a heavy duty recirculation setup.
I also sink a 5 gallon plastic bucket in it. The shad seem to be less
agitated with the bucket sunk in there for cover, and I can use it to add
water periodaically to run out my over flow holes. In the summer I also add
ice every 20-30 minutes.
