Hugh, I'm suprised they didcontinued them considering wow well RI is doing
(aka sweet beaver). Watever you do dont go with wire weedguards.

LOL, Yeah I know about that one. I missed a lot of fish on wire weedguard
hooks before you pointed out the w.w.Hook to me.

Nice job Bob!

Thanks Warren. I owe it in part to some advice from you. I would have
given up on Senkos if not for some of your tips.

It looks like the w.w.Hook I've been using for wacky rigging has been
discontinued. I'll have to buy some cale hooks and wrap my own when
those I have run out. I might see if I can find a slightly heavier wire
hook and use a size or two up in mono for the weedguards when I do.

I went out guns blazing today. Last weekend I had been on a jerk bait
bite. Today I figured to slay them on a Jerk bait by taking out the
little
boat and getting into some backwaters that I figured would be perfect
for
it. No such luck. I picked up a couple rats popping a floating jerk
bait, but nothing, not even a bump, on the suspending jerkbait that had
served my so well last weekend.

I broke out one of the new double blade SWL spinnerbaits Joe sent my
with
my last order and tried flipping it, buting it, and slow rolling it
down
a bank that has consistantly produced fish for me in the past.

Finally I I found something that would work for me. I started
flipping a
senko. First worm rigged, and then wacky rigged. I tied into 4 good
fish, but was only able to put two of them int he boat. Fortunately
the
bigger one was a nice solid 4.16 pounder that barely squeaked out big
fish for the day. Paid for my gas and entry fee atleast. It was a
good
day.

The senkos produce in spots and conditions that I ordinarily would
have
figured a spinner bait to be the lure of choice. Weird.

Still a good day on the water.
