Almost every model of spinning reel has the ability to change the
crank for left handed people. I have all my spinning reels set up
this way.

Just a thought.

BTW, have you checked e-bay?

I think he knows that but wants one that the rotor actually spins in
the opposite direction from a "convertable" reel.
