Hearing is deteriorating so hearing tests are scheduled for next week, probably a hearing aid in my future.

Frank, if you were subjected to noise while in the military, the VA
may determine that your hearing loss is service-connected and if so,
will provide you with hearing aids and a lifetime supply of batteries.

I received two digital aids just a couple of months ago, because the
VA determined my recent hearing loss was probably caused by flying
noisy military airplanes half a century ago.
