Personally, I enjoy seeing you guys go off once in a while. But please,
if you all think this is a serious rant, you ought to visit some of the
other sites out there. I was on a guitar site once where death threats
were issued over who was the "best" guitar player. Hell, everybody knows
its Mark Knopfler anyway, right? Rec.food.wine has had some legendary
fights over topics including calling a wine glass a "glass or is it
stemware?", whether it was proper to season food at the table thus
insulting the chef, and other matters of weighty import. I have had
conversations which resulted in obscure threats from an alter-ego named
Ming who was supposed to put the fear of God into me on a VietVet site.
This group by comparison is very polite and considerate.
