Default B.A.S.S. business tactics.

A couple of years ago after sending in a 3 year membership to B.A.S.S., they
sent me a hard cover book and wanted me to either send them the money for
the book or send them the payment. I was shocked that they resorted to book
club type of tactics.

A week or so ago, I was called and asked who I wanted to give a gift
subscription to.

Tonight the called me confirming my mailing address and something about
renewing my subscription, they asked if I understood and acknowledged what
they were telling me. I think they was trying to "trick" me into okaying
the subscription renewal and they were going to bill me for it. I don't
understand why B.A.S.S. would want to try to "trick" their customers into
renewing their subscription. I like the magazine and joined B.A.S.S.
because of my interest in Bass fishing, I don't need to be "tricked" into
renewing my subscription. That kind of telemarketing just doesn't fit what
I thought B.A.S.S. was about.

I still have a few months left of my membership & subscription. I like the
magazine, members, and Bass fishing, but I won't renew due to their low life
book club and telemarketing business tactics.

Anyone else getting these types of calls from them?
