if you dont have a friend that is good with a
baitcaster,all you can do is get one and practice over and over
again.even the pros on tv have problems with these reels but they never
show that,it is important to have the reel on the right setting for the
line you are using and thumb control i think is key.I have over 30 rods
and only one of them is a bait caster I really dont see the need I
catch fish all the time,all places,all lures,all species and i just use
the classic spinning reel with soft hands and patience.
