We should probably wait for Mr Z to respond...
...but if it happens I am there too!
The only problem I see is that some of the guys don't have boats that can
handle BIG water, and you of all people know what Champlain is capable of
doing.
Doesn't matter to me, I know my boat will handle snotty conditions.....
If I'm running this thing, we're on the 'small water' section near the
south end of the lake, adjacent to the big water. Those with the
wherewithal and desire can run north. Everyone else can head south.
Heck steve, I fished this place from 99 to 2005 from a 14.5 foot boat
with a 20, and even now, my kid has a 17 footer with a 115, and I have a
17 foot aluminum with a 50. Neither of us ever feels threatended by
Champlains size. The thing about Champlain is, there's a jillion places
to launch. You don't have to run it on the water. You can drag the boat
to the area you want to fish, and launch real close.
