Default Warm weather here in the North.

This has been a winter season of exceptionally mild weather in Michigan and
throughout the northern tier. Some say it is a result of El Nino and
anomalies in the North Atlantic Oscillation - others say global warming.
Who knows? Whatever the cause, the effect up here has been a mild season so
far with a good amount of rain to sustain the lake levels.

Bass season in Michigan starts on May 26 this year. Our late start is
intended to protect the spawn according to DNR.

If this warm weather maintains, what effect will this have on bass fishing
patterns? Will a continued mild winter season and an early spring hasten
the spawn and will we encounter mid-summer fishing patterns once we are
allowed to fish for bass?
