Property taxes in Ga include all the property you own, including boats
and cars. We have a fairly low income tax and lower sales tax than
many states. I suspect my combined taxes here in Ga are lower than they
would be there on the same income and assets.

There is a move to eliminate the property tax here.

I still haven't gone back and counted days - It was pretty close to 340
tho.

From talking to other GA residents over the years I know their taxes
are lower than they would be in WI, (Read WI as "socialist state"). I
just was not aware of the way they tax all property. Still, if I
found employment in GA I would be moving tomorrow.

340 days of fishing is pretty damn impressive Ronnie!

Again, congrats on the win!

Let me get this straight. You get taxed on your boat?

Up here we shoot any politician that is stupid enough to come up with
a fool idea like that!!!

Around here Nada is closer to the value people are selling things for.
I checked Nada against blue book on things like
trucks/boats/motorcycles and that's where my opinion comes from.

Taxes on boats, what'll they think of next?

BTW, how many days did ya fish last year?

The local tax appraiser uses NADA - I protested this year when they had
my Skeeter valued for tax purposes at almost $2000 more than I paid for
it three years ago - and that is without the trailer. Offered to sell
it to them at that price. Didn't do any good.

There sure is, try http://www.nadaguides.com It's not exact, but it will
get you in the ballpark.

Thanks Steve!

Nada appears to be closer to real prices than blue book in my opinion.
