Funny, I haven't had any major problems with it. All my applications seem
to work, haven't had a virus since a harmless word macro virus that
requires a replacement of normal.dot in about 1994. Haven't had an OS
crash that required much more than a reboot. All in all, less than 2% of
my time goes toward sys management of my desktop/laptops.

I might not love every piece of their software--I avoid IE like the plague,
but that's hardly a statement of doom for the platform. I might not
appreciate their business practices, but that's got little to do with the
end product.
