Sounds fishy to me...

I tried to translate it and came up with either 'Why drown a worm in
cold water?' or 'How can it be Spring if it's not below freezing?'

Probably about as good a guesses as any...I'd offer that "pisc-"
(piscor) might be appropriate to the proper construction...

I expect that someone here will offer a more convincing translation
than any of those.

If it helps at all, I'm convinced...
