Default Going to Disney in March, where to fish?

If you can sneak onto some of the ponds around the golf course they hold
some MONSTER bass. The other critters I mentioned are also there in
abundance.

VERY good point about the gators. I will likely be on disney grounds
withing a few hundred feet of the hotel most of the time, but I will still
keep my eyes open. The more my wife and I talk about the trip, the less
it seems like she wants me to fish. I'm pretty sure she'll let me get
away for at least one decent outing anyway.

My only advice for walking around fishing ponds at night in Florida is be
very careful. Gators are prevalent as are the "no-shoulders". I just want
you to make it back home safely.
I had the not so wonderful experience of catching a 4 ft. gator on a
Rapala in broad daylight and that was plenty enough excitement for me.
They will eat you...................

Wait a minute, is this one of those "let's go get us a tree hugger"
questions? Whatever your politics, it makes sense to pay attention to
global environmental changes and consider the impact we may be having on
this earth. As a fisherman, I find myself even more concerned with the
ecology. Especially the state of the waters around me. I assume most
other fishermen feel the same way about the waters we fish and sometimes
eat from, but I could be wrong.

I have no idea how much the oceans are going to rise but I'm pretty sure
I agree with 99% of the scientists on this planet. The trend is towards
a warming, just look at pictures of the glaciers over the past 30 years.
Look at Kilimanjaro and how it's glacier is disappearing. It's not a
myth folks.

Now, if anyone has some suggestions about my Florida trip I would be
thankful. If not, I fly by the seat of my pants as usual and hope to
stumble on a gem or two.

The way this global warming thing is going, they may start camping out
in the tri state area all winter instead of going all the way to NC.
In 10 years we may start seeing striper fishing for 9 months of the
year instead of 6. Exciting and scary at the same time.

So with total ice sheet melt off how much would the oceans rise?

the bite really died off in the end of December. I fished right up
till the Friday before Christmas and I did poorly the last couple of
outings (after an excellent fall run).

The Housy is still holding up. I haven't been in two weeks, but if I
see two or three days in a row over 40 degrees, I'll jump for the
chance to get out again. Guys who were out last weekend got 40
something schoolies and a couple keepers last weekend.
