Sandy,

I have 6 pc #5-#6 9' travel rod and another 5 pc #4-#5 shorter rod
which are easy to carry with by flight.

I also have a couple of 4 pc hevier rods, up to #9 weight class.

What is the typical size for trout? Are those lighter rods ok?
I suppose that there is no salmon at that time. Right?

Thanks
Osmo

You could be lucky Have a look on these sites for better info. on
Dee salmon than I can give.

The 6 pc #5-#6 9' rod should be fine for the trout, if you are going
to try for the salmon I would bring a heavier rod too. As you know the
usual rods for salmon over here are double handed 12 to 16 feet, what
Americans call 'Spey' rods. I don't know the Dee but if the beat you
fish isn't too big then the #9 weight would probably do.

HTH.
