Default Combo recommendations

Properly cared for a Curado will last a lifetime. The upper end BPS rods are
pretty good too. Combo savings of $50. makes it a good deal. Rule of thumb
is start with a 6-6 MH and move up or down in length and action for
different applications. Are you able to go to a BPS and check it out to see
how it feels?
A baitcaster takes several hours to get dialed in if you've never used one
and can be quite frustrating at first, and may take several outings to
master. said Huck

Hi all,

I've always been a spinning reel man... Thinking about giving the
Baitcasters another try. I tried one once, and got endless backlashes, and
when it didn't, was stuck with 10 yard casts. I've heard a few folks brag
about there Curado's, so I think I will go that way, I think. Here's the
combo I'm looking at for my 2nd try rig. The 7 Footer Medium Heavy.

Will be doing mainly LM and SM fishing with it.

Would this be a good one? If not, what would be? Thoughts? Hints and
tips?

Thanks guys!
