Bob,
I have serious long-time craps player friends, darn good players with a
lot of experience. Lately there has been 4-5 of us who go up and play
the same table at the same time. So another words we hit them pretty hard
for about an hour to 1.5 hours and get out. We all pretty much play the
same way, and know exactly how the shooter is setting the dice, using
inconspicuous hand signals. What's funny is the casino staff has no clue
what's going on. And of course we tip pretty well, so it keeps them happy
and off guard.

Got a hint for you Tom, it doesn't matter whether they have a clue or not.
They couldn't care less. Unless the person shooting is an accomplished
"mechanic" with the dice, it doesn't matter how the shooter is setting the
dice. The casinos are pretty sharp at spotting mechanics and Blackjack card
counters and barring them from the casinos, but they love to see people who
think they have a "system " that will guarantee consistently winning at
craps. If you and your friends win every time by following your belief that
you
have an advantage over the house and are putting something over on them, you
are either lying to yourselves and
others or incredibly lucky. Just to enlighten yourself why don't you keep
track of your total net return from craps over the next three months and get
back
to us.
I do as well on a long term basis at the craps table as anyone I know or
have seen and I often am at the
tables several times each week. I make only those bets that give the house
the least edge and I fully utilize all the comps that are available. Still,
I know better than to consider my gambling more than a form of
entertainment - very cheap for me as I usually do well in craps tournaments
where the tournament reward is based solely on my performance relative to
others in the tournament gambling at the same time.
