After a long break from surf fishing I'm planning on going again in
early April when I'm in Destin for a week. My daughter has never been
surf fishing before and wants to try it (she's 8).

I have a 9' rod with a Diawa 4000c that I used to use a long time ago.
Will this work for Destin? What weight line should I install on it?
Lastly...I dusted it off then rinsed it out, it spins fine. I was
going to open it and clean it...any tips on cleaning this thing?
