We have had something of a heat wave up here in Michigan. There was ice on
the pond out back four days ago but two days of high 70s cleared the ice out
fast. So, I got out on the mudpuddle today in the trusty Port-a-bote and
caught two. Using a little Minus -1 crank in bluegill, I got a 6" bluegill,
and then...Big Momma. 21" lmb and right at 6 lbs on the Boga. Had a lot of
fun with her on the 4 lb test mono. Took a while for the heartbeat to
return to normal.
