Default First time out

You had a better maiden voyage then I did, and many others as it sounds...
I, also, got out for the 1st time on Sunday, was a beautiful day, and got to
81 here in Northern Indiana. We couldn't buy a bite though. We threw about
everything in the book at them too, and not a hit. Talked to several other
fishermen out on the lake as well, and only 1 other boat reported catching 1
small fish. We did just come out of 4 days of rainy weather, and then on
Sunday, it brightened up, so I attributed the luck to the drastic change in
atmospheric pressures. Hard to believe that 16 to 18 boats, and nobody was
doing anything!
Water temp was around 48 degrees in the coves and still 38 in the main lake,
so I know they had to be stacking up in the shallows or on the breaks of
those coves, so you would think anyway. The last 3 hours, we resorted to
Pike fishing, and still nothing. Was the worst 1st day of the season on
record for me, but it was just nice to be back on the water again!!

Regards,

Doug

went out fishing Sun. for the first time this year, tried hard to catch
crappie, but the largemouth bass wouldn't leave that 1/2 ounce silver
buddy alone long enough. The air temp. here in Michigan was in the high
70's and the water where I was about 52 degrees, come on june,I'm ready
for tournament fishing.
