One of those days
We had a "snow" day yesterday. That's what we call an unexpected day
off. The chiller for our building broke down and our computers
couldn't handle the heat so we got a day off. I spent the morning
installing a new ceiling fan, only to find out that it must have a bad
bearing in it. I was entirely too tired to take it back down and
return it to the store so I decided, about 2 p.m., to hook up Po' Boy
(my little jon boat) and go fishing.
Lake Monkey Business (I'm not kidding) is shallow with its deepest
spot only about 10 feet deep. I have been having great success on
this lake with Senkos. I was telling a friend just the other day how
I rarely miss connecting with a fish once it hits a Senko. I cursed
myself with that comment. I missed or shook off about five fish
yesterday. I did catch five, but was really disgusted with myself.
What was also really frustrating was that I could see several fish
buried so deep in some of the brush that I couldn't even flip to
them. I guess a fella shouldn't complain about a day where he catches
five bass, though.
