ello all,
Does anyone know what waxworms are like as bait? I was looking at a site
dealing in live pet foods and saw them. Anyone know what chub and barbel
might make of 'em?

Every now and then someone comes up with the same question. We never hear
any report - favourable or otherwise - so:

Either they are a devastating bait and the few who use them have managed to
keep them secret whilst cleaning up on the match circuit.
or, more likely as they're a bit sluggish and not particularly juicy, they
aren't particularly good.

Chub and barbel -will- take a nice, lively, juicy, lob.

If you try 'em, let us know how you get on.

Cheerio,
