Neat little snippet of FFing.

It was kinda fun. I was a "very" poor GI, tying for Bowtyer fur. My
Griffin 3ARP vise crapped out right in the middle of an 10 hour
marathon day of tying at the Bowtyer booth. The screw tightening the
jaws stripped.
I went down to the Danica booth, told them my problem and they sold me
the Danica vise at cost. It would be good advertising for them. I
had a blast with it. It was my first rotary.
Later that day, Mike came by. He liked my flies and was really
interested in the vise. I showed him how strong it was by throwing it
out into the middle of the walk way. Picked it up, tied a size 26
fly, then a 4/0 crawdad. Long story short, he went up and bought one
and ended up using it in most of his videos.
I think I sold more vises for Danica in those two days than the
material I used for tying.
