OK, I got the ball rolling with my reply to BJ...so what is
everyone's/anyone's favorite Herter's stuff, good, bad, or nonsensical,
fishing, hunting, or general sporting goods?

TC,

Ahh Herters I still have some of the feathers etc I bought long ago when
starting out. Didn't have a clue back then exactly what I needed :0) That
hasn't changed much BTW. I bought my first and only tying vise from them.
Still doing yeoman service after about 35 years. Oh I've looked at others,
but never felt the need to "upgrade", but why waste the money on a new one
when the old one does all I need it to do?

I sure miss their catalogues though, made great reading during the winter
vacation from fishing.
