and then, well, ya got everyone else on the flockin' planet...
...Um, jeffie, I realize you supported this guy, but come on - goin' to
the beauty salon and dropping 400 clams (of other folks' money)...pardon
me, having the salon come to you and dropping 400 clams (of OPM)? OK,
the guy has some long green, and if it was HIS $400, it would simply be
asinine, but to do it with campaign money?

...what's with these pseudoDems and the high-dollar hairdos, anyway? I
bet Jimmy Carter, Dick Gebhardt, and six of their friends don't spend
$400 _a year_ on haircuts amongst them all...
hellfire...aint 400 the bottom basement haircut you can get from a
beverly hills escort service ...uh, barber?
I have no idea...I don't have any need of such, uh, services, but if I
did, it'd be just like anything else and as such, the way God intended:
not in California...but I'd have a whole lot more respect for him if he
had spent $400 gettin' his, um, Evinrude tuned-up...even if he'd done so
in California. IAC, a $400 haircut is just the thing I'd expect some
nouveau riche wannabe-powerful to do...Edwards is just another wannabe
in a $3000 off-the-rack suit...and he didn't even get a second pair of
trousers with it...(which, OBROFF, is why you get 2 tips with a bamboo
rod...)
i supported him for the senate. he ****ed me off when he got ambitious
and quit what we elected him to do so he could pursue higher office. i
defended him when some here took shots at him. he's a capable guy...and
sincere. he cares about the right things... but, it's over for him. too
bad. imo, we'd be better served with him in politics than dickcheney or
his ilk.
Oh, when you're spending $400 of campaign money on haircuts, you're
pretty much a card-carrying member of the ilk...
this lunacy and that video of him primping - it just ain't right. my
wife says he's surrendered himself and his soul to his handlers.
Actually, I didn't hold the video against him. After Nixon's, er,
meltdown on camera, it's just as much a part of televised politics as it
is, uh...well, the rest of the stupid **** they tape for TV...
as you know...cause you chided me about it...i've been supporting obama.
in fact, supported him before he announced. it's a new day. g
I'm sorta leaning toward the modified Baldwin Plan...if the US holds an
election in 2008 and someone (besides Pat Paulsen) wins, I'm
moving...seriously, though, at this point, I don't think Obama is in the
race (hey, he had a dream...and Hillary was the nightmare...), but I'd
still like to see a cross-ticket thing - maybe Richardson and Romney,
flip for veep.
As an aside, I was part of a conversation a few days ago in which a
couple of the ladies suggested it was possible that Hillary was a victim
of the "if it's a guy, he's tough, if it's a women, she's a bitch" type
of thing. No, I offered, because Hillary isn't a bitch, she's a ****.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" was the response, of course. IAC, I then offered
that there's a HUGE difference between the two and no mistaking Hillary.
OK, what's the HUGE difference, they asked. Well, for starters, have
you ever seen a "Rich ****" or "First-Class ****" t-shirt on a female,
or otherwise, I asked...
