and I just finished washing my car windows and applying a nice coat of
Rain-X to the windows, mirrors and headlights in anticipation of an
upcoming road trip.
I hesitate to interject a serious question here, but does that Rain-X
stuff
really work?
Joe F.
It really does. There's nothing like a fresh coat of Rain-X on the
windshield., bombing along the highway in a down pour, without needing to
operate the wipers. It's a surreal experience.
What he said, in spades. As a rule, I'm not real big on doing product
endorsements. Rain-X is one of the few exceptions. This stuff is little
short of miraculous. In addition to making water roll off magically, it
also helps keep all the nasty crap that hits your windshield from sticking
as tightly as it ordinarily would.
Caveat: How effectively water is shed is in part a function the airstream
flowing over your vehicle. This is variable due to speed and the
configuration of your vehicle. That said, it is almost certain that you
will be VERY happy with it.
The down side is it's a pain to refresh.
One man's meat.....
I actually enjoy the process.
By the way, I'm always surprised by how long an application lasts. I
typically get at least two months out of it.
