Just wondering if any of you have tried using the Specrta.etc styles
lines
as backing.I figure something quite heavy say a 60lb so it wil not have a
tendency to cut into your fingers.Polyester backing has about the same
cost
at the Blue box store.Appreciate it. Thanks Marty

Cortland Micron can be had in 20# or 30# breaking strength, comes in
different
colors (so you can have your last 50 yards be something that'll let you
know
you might be in trouble ;-)

A good tip on its own, and I'd offer that if you're regularly in danger
of a run in and out of the backing, having at least three
telltales/colors might be helpful - if you will, an "attention, HEY!,
whoa****!" sorta system.
