Default OT Home Depot

Since I retired, (sort of), a couple of weeks ago, I have been
catching up on some home projects, as well as fishing. I own an old
colonial house with the old fashioned wooden windows, and several of
them need putty and paint. I had to go to the city the other day, so I
stopped at Home Depot on the way home. I picked up some putty, and
looked, unsuccessfuly for a can of black enamel. I spotted a young
girl who was in charge of the paint department, and explained what I
was going to do, and asked if she had any black enamel. Long pause and
blank stare. Finally she responded with, "You mean like........paint?
"Yes, just like paint", I said. She then informed me that they have to
mix all their paint, and wahat color would I like? I replied that
black would not need to be mixed. She replied that all their paint is
mixed, and that they start with a base white. I said that if they
start with white, what I would want, would be whatever they mix with
the white to get black. She said that would depend on the color I
want. At this point I was developing a strong urge to grab her scrawny
neck and squeeze till her eyes bugged out, so I simply thanked her for
her help, and left. It's little events like this thatmake me thankful
I'm on the way out instead of the way in.

OBROFF: The water at the "secret spot" is still very high, so I
haven't fished it, the Willimantic is not fishing well due, ( I
think), to recent flooding. I did have a good day on the Farmington
last week, and I have been fishing a couple of spots I hadn't fished
in thirty years, with reasonable success.
