Default beginner's how heavy the crankbait question

Well Ken, there's a good reason why I haven't answered Sandy's question. I
don't have a decent answer. There are far too many variables in his
question.

Thanks Steve:

That's a pretty good answer though: there is no best weight.
I really can make these as light or as heavy as I want,
and to run shallow or deep.

There are some limitations, so far anyway. Slow wide wobbling
lures tend to run shallow. The deep divers have longer bills,
but they tend to vibrate with a tighter shake than the shallow
running guys. It would be great if I could figure out how
to get a deep diving slow wide wobbler. But I haven't been able
to do that so far.
