racket in the water

Lee Haskins has created some variations, that I use a lot for stripers.

If Taimen are aggressive, baitfish feeders, I have no doubt gurglers
will work.

They've said something to me about 6 to 8 inches long. How big are the
ones used for stripers?

The Gurglers I use for stripers are relatively small. 2"+. The site
above has Pike Gurglers, and they are in the 6-8" in category. What
makes Lee's Gurglers unique, is the foam he uses. It's dense, and very
durable. Nothing like the "fly tying" foam you can buy. Very tough
stuff, with the weak link in the fly, being the tail material. I have
around a dozen Gurglers, and haven't worn one out yet.
