Thanks, Bill. I used to live in Bend and still have half of my fishing
gear in storage there, so it's something of a regularly scheduled
homecoming for me. The Scarlet Ibis is a very good shop. The Patient
Angler in Bend is also quite good--they've got I think the best
selection of tying materials in the area (especially furs), and Peter
and Chris are invariably friendly and helpful--but I think my favorite
among the many shops in the Bend area is Jeff Perin's Fly Fisher's Place
in Sisters.

BBP is Deschutes Brewery's Black Butte Porter -- a wonderful beer with a
cool picture of the Metolius river on the label.
