Secret frogs. Any progress?
Well, if there is you wouldn't hear about it here because that
would be SPAM
Now Tell me.. which ISP would consider that SPAM ?
Let's see,,
Would it be on topic ? Yes
Would it have a proper return address on the header ? yes
Would it be cross posted to any other group ? No
According to EVERY ISP,, a reply to this would NOT BE SPAM !!!!!!!!!
their definition of "SPAM" is the only one that counts .
You need to find another word to use, besides spam, in describing such a
post, that offends "you".
You have every right to be offended, and to voice it. Everyone in the US
has the right to be offended, by anything in their mind, they "feel"
that does, it has nothing to do with the intentions of the person they
feel that has, nor with any rules, or laws. They do not have a right to
call the person who offends them a criminal, unless a "law" was broken.
Randy has every right to Post anything "on topic" to this group, and not
be called a Spammer, because that would be slanderous, if he follows the
rules of his ISP, in his post. and also the rules of every ISP. It would
be a FALSE statement made about him. One that actually could hurt his
business, his livelihood, if others heard he was being called such .
Your calling him a Spammer, when he has not made a spamming post, is not
only offending him, but breaking US "laws" dealing with slander.
Ken, Just use another word, for someone who answers questions that are
on topic, just because he is in the "business" of that topic.
Keeping people like Randy or Joe from talking about their products, is
actually doing damage to this group. It is keeping many from sharing
their success or techniques with these products. It is to the point you
WANT SUCH PEOPLE TO NOT BE MEMBERS . Because if they were not, like the
other companies who could care less about this group, Zoom, Berkly,
Rapala, Eagle Claw, heck every company, who you could care less that
members "PUSH" those company products here. You raise all kinds of hell
if someone even mentions a product that an "active member" is associated
with. No one knows more about these products than those members here
that developed them, and tested them. These people can greatly help
others here increase their fishing pleasure.
You need to take a HARD look at your values.
