Because they might just die on you before you get a chance to go fishing if
you blow it off.

I had a fellow sound me out a few years back who I'ld been friendly with off
and on at various functions over the years. I kinda blew him off when he
made noises like he might like to be taken fishing. I was busy with work
and life in general and figured there would be plenty of time. I was wrong.
He ain't around anymore. The next time I saw him was at his funeral.

That's been a while and it still bothers me.
