Revisited.
Because they might just die on you before you get a chance to go fishing
if you blow it off.
I had a fellow sound me out a few years back who I'ld been friendly with
off and on at various functions over the years. I kinda blew him off when
he made noises like he might like to be taken fishing. I was busy with
work and life in general and figured there would be plenty of time. I was
wrong. He ain't around anymore. The next time I saw him was at his
funeral.
That's been a while and it still bothers me.
After losing both of my parents, as well as my wife's parents, plus 20 years
of emergency response work, watching people die has become somewhat second
nature to me. But you're right Bob, it IS important to take time for
friends, family and living life. It only took my one heart attack to drive
that point home.
Don't get caught up in all life's little things and remember to make time
for the important ones. Don't let it bother you, do something about it!
