I called John last night to thank him for the gift. I told him that was
too expensive of a reel to be giving away. He said, "Ardent is one of my
sponsors, they sent me a reel to try a while back, and I was impressed
with it, and told them so....they sent me a half dozen more.". I guess
he is on their pro-staff now, and he said he told them how he thought
they might improve the drag to make the reel even better.

Anyway, I feel better knowing it was "free", and american made to boot!


I hope I don't get any "spam" hate mail over this endorsement grin.
