I have fished Seminole several times, sometimes in a full on fiberglass boat
and others in a 16ft. aluminum. I would not feel safe in anything less than
a 16 ft. boat though. Being in the smaller creeks and coves would be OK in
a smaller craft but sooner or later you will want to be, or have to be, on
the big water.
I don't know if I am braver than Dick Tracy or just foolhardy, but I
used to fish on lakes as big as Kentucky Lake and Cumberland out of a
14 foot Starcraft with a 9.5 hp Johnson and never felt unsafe.

I've had my Tracker Pro team 175 5-6 miles offshore in the Atlantic on
more than a few occasions. It's all a matter of weather and sea
conditions. 6 miles might sound like a lot but I could be back to the
shore in maybe 15 minutes.
I don't know what the Triton costs but I'm guessing there's a premium
for the name. You might do better with a G3 or another brand.
