One of the my funniest experiences while fly-fishing was years ago on the
Trinity river. We were fishing for steelhead, but caught nothing all day,
not even a hint of a bite. My friend, just as a joke took out his backup rig
which was a "Pocket Fisherman" put on a single salmon egg,
and managed to hook and land a 6 pounder.
