Trying to put a fighting butt on that POS is throwing good money after
bad. Flawed economics, that may be why you don't have money. I don't
think you can get a good reel seat with a fighting butt for less than
$20.
By the time you screw up the existing handel trying to put it on your
going to have tripped over a dollar to pick up a dime.
As DIY project it don't seem to have the potential of being good or
cheap.
