Attaching a fighting butt?

haven't bought anything yet. Never complained, just asked a question.
You don't seem to be too happy with your pos fly rod, so you have to
alter it? That's complaining.
I know what it is, I made no claims to say anything different. But
thanks for the wisdom. Fly fishishing ..classism.. and consumerism at
it's finest.
Classism? Bull****. You're a fly fisherman. Would you buy cheap
tires for a race car? Flimsy helmet to ride your bike? A pair of
brown shoes to go with your tux? Spend the money on a good rod and
you won't complain (or at least not about the lack of a fighting
butt). No classism involve. Properism..... is that a word? It is
now!
BTW, putting a piece of rubber meant to go on a walking cane is not a
fighting butt. A fighting butt (a good one, at least) actually makes
the fly rod longer by a few inches at the butt thereby making it
easier to land a big fish. I have a ten foot Sage 7 weight with a
screw-in fighting butt. It is an enormous help when fighting a big
trout or salmon. Without it, it is just another 10 foot Sage 7 weight
and no walking cane rubber is gonna make it better.
