Tippet rings are just what they sound like, little rings
between the leader and tippet. They're a neat innovation
and they came up in the discussion of furled leaders
because they're practically the only thing I like about
the furled leaders I bought recently.

Is there any problems with the little rings sinking, and pulling the
tippet down with it.

And what about hinging? I think I'm missing something here. I don't see
how the work. What knots are reused?


OK, I just went back and read Larry's description and have a better idea
of how these things work. I still wonder about hinging. Is the tippet
just not heavy enough to make that an issue? Does the tippet turn over well?

I've got to find me some. I'm for anything that makes tying on tippets
easier.
