| My god! You live in NEW YORK and can't spell BAIT!?
|
| You don't deserve to catch a fish.
|
| I live in northern Alberta. That's in Canada, and I don't use bait.
| I just spray a little WD40 on something shiny with a hook attached
| and get me some fish. Worked great with salmon, trout and steelhead
| when I grew up on the west coast.

Since WD40 contains petroleum distillates, you are actually polluting
the waters in which you fish. Not a good idea.

Very low boiling point distillates. About 0.001 secs of trolling with a
five horse motor. Catch fish where no others do so there's something
going on. IMHO I think it just washes off all other odors and is gone in
seconds. I've nailed steelhead on the first cast after soaking the wool
behind my spin-n-glow with it.

WD40 will always have a pocket in my vest near to my heart.
