Inland Trout season ends Saturday September 30th, but low water levels
have hurt our trout populations and it is best for the survival of the
resource to cease all your trout fishing for the season!

Damn the luck. Now what ?
I still plan to leave Urbana this Sunday and go fishing for a week
or two *somewhere*, the question now is where.
The Boulder Junction/Sylvania/Watersmeet area is nice because you
can fish for trout, musky, pike and smallies all in the same area.
I guess I could go up there and fish for musky, pike and smallies
but I'm thinkin' I'm gonna punt and go somewhere where I can wade
in a trout stream.
Who knows where the good trout fishing is gonna be happenin' next
week ? (And is willing to post it to roff ;-)
I'm planning on fishing in Yellowstone Park in October - specifically, the
Bechler area - extreme south west corner. The season in Yellowstone ends
the first weekend in November. FWIW there are a number of streams open all
year in Idaho - one such stretch is Portneuf river between Lava Hot
Springs and American Falls.
